Contextual Fit
Objective: The objective of this project was to design an extension to the Long Island Sound "Smith House" designed by Richard Meier in 1965. While designing we had to respect the structure and its surroundings. The design started by analyzing the various systems of the original structure and the different systems that the house contains, like its masses, and function.
Narrative: Louis Zederbaum is a Billiard professional who just retired after 30 years of championships. He wants his
main room to be a Billiard room, another room to receive his friends and relatives. But also an award
room for his achievements. Hence bringing both his peace and billiards to the design at the commodity
of his home.
